Augenblick 2012

Better super late than never, here is our 2012 review!

The New Year kicked off with me pregnant. 

 

 We threw a party.

 And I decided I don't like this fortune telling game because we all got horrible fortunes.

Redgie and I hung out a lot while H worked out of town. 

I got this awesome urn flower that later succumbed to fungus gnats and died.

It got super cold.

I got a job. 

 I had some serious hair problems 

 My Mom came to visit and my pregnancy got really, really difficult.

 Things warmed up and got springy.

 Redgie got to go the beach a lot.

I got diabetes and had to quit my job .

 

 I gained a ton of weight and got super huge.  My diabetes got really bad.  Before I knew it it was time to go to the hospital.

 And then at 8:15 in the morning my baby girl was born.

 And just like that I was a mom.

I stayed in the hospital forever.

 I loved being a new mom more than anything.

 Redgie not so much.

 I sort of started to feel like my old self.

H took one of my favorite photos of Redgie ever.

I started thinking about clothes for Sophie and me again. 

 Like, nothing happened in June. 

Then I joined exercise class, reorganized my closet, and we got silverfish.  I was very productive and I thought seriously about Fall baby clothes.

Sophie became an American citizen.

I thought about getting a nanny and revisited some old hobbies. 

We went to Denmark and H left.

My parents came to visit.  Then we had a sort of Halloween.  I was lucky to have some great friends to help me through the loneliness.

 

My mom came to visit.  We did this.

 I love my job.

 We went to the Christmas market in Hamburg. 

Sophie was standing and crawling everywhere.  Time seemed to fly and we were all ready to pack for our trip home.

And THAT was our 2012.

I hope 2013 goes according to plan we have another baby in 2014.  Fingers crossed, you know I'm ready to do it all over again- minus the husband being gone for so long of course :)
